Cub Scout Religious Awards and Recognition

Cub Scout Pack 262 offers recognition as described below for religious achievements of Cub Scouts.

Religious Emblems   Light of Christ   ~    Parvuli Dei

  • Scout Pack 262 typically provides eligible scouts the required activity book for each emblem in October.
  • The books need to be completed as required by March Pack Night.
  • A required part to complete the book is to have our parish pastor interview the scouts and sign the last page of the activity book. The page then needs to be turned into the Cubmaster. (The pack is required to send the page to the Milwaukee Archdiocese for approval prior to issuance of the emblem.)
  • Our pastor has typically attended the March Pack Night to meet with all of the eligible scouts at one time.
  • Emblems and knots are awarded to the scouts at the annual parish scout mass, typically a 10:30, Sunday morning mass some time in April. (see the scout calendar for dates.)

Pray the RosaryPray the Rosary Patch Series

The Rosary Patch Series is focused on the different Mysteries of the Holy Rosary and Pray the Rosary.

This is an opportunity for youth and adults alike to learn more about their faith. The Rosary patch is considered a Religious Activity and Cub Scouts will receive a patch they may apply to their red vest upon its completion. There are a total of five patches in the series that may be earned. Please note that this activity is not a Religious Emblem and scouts will not receive a Religious Knot after completing the requirements.

To receive your patch: Complete the requirements  as instructed on the requirements pages that are linked above.  Please report completion of the requirements to your den leader or to the pack Advancement and Recognition Coordinator (Paul R.). Include which patch requirements were completed along with the date. Patches will be awarded at monthly Pack Nights.
